Core Purpose & Design

The LTB profile alters the traditional secant ogive found on Berger’s standard Very Low Drag (VLD) line. While standard VLDs are exceptionally long and require a deep chamber seating depth—often forcing the bullet to be single-fed into an AR-15—the LTB profile features a slightly shorter, modified ogive. This shifts the bearing surface forward so that the cartridge overall length (COAL) stays short enough to cycle reliably through standard box magazines. [1, 2]

Berger Bullets

When using Berger Bullets, the serious rifle shooter can be confident of the fact that the “SHOOT BETTER, SHOOT BERGER” slogan we use is based on fact rather than marketing hype. Sure we are proud of our bullets and the efforts it takes to make them. However, there are very real science based reasons why Bergers are actually better. The points below are both factual tolerances and dimensions, or policies and procedures that we use to ensure our highest quality reputation.
